Environmental and Health Assesment of Alternatives to Phthalates to
flexible PVC

Abstract
This project is an assessment of the expected use, exposure, health and environmental effects of 11 substances suggested as substitutes for phthalates and two materials suggested as substitutes for flexible PVC. The hazard and risk of the substances are assessed according to EU guidelines. The data for health and environmental effects are presented in a collection of data sheets and discussed in the report in conjuntion with the exposure estimation and the evaluation of data gaps.
