Labelling and packaging in accordance with the Pesticide Regulation

If an application for authorisation of a product is processed in accordance with the Pesticide Regulation, labelling and packaging must be in accordance with the provisions of this Regulation as well as with the provisions of the Labelling Regulation.

If an application for authorisation of a product is processed under the transitional provisions, labelling and packaging must be in accordance with the old provisions of the Pesticide Regulation and the Dangerous Preparation Directive.

The applicant can, however, choose to follow the new provisions of the Pesticide Regulation with regard to labelling and packaging. This option must be declared on application.

Treated cereal, seeds and potatoes must be labelled with the name of the relevant plant protection product, the active substance and applicable safety instructions and restrictions with regard to the use of the treated product. Moreover, the labelling must be in accordance with other EU regulations with regard to seeds, plants, etc. For further information on such labelling, please contact the Danish Plant Directorate, Seeds and Plants Division.
