Living with Chemicals

Chemicals are present in every aspect of our lives. We cannot do without chemicals in modern life, but some chemicals have harmful effects on human health and on the environment. The Danish EPA assesses chemicals and is involved in laying down the rules for how they may be used.

We also inform citizens of what they can do to minimise the risks associated with chemicals, whether it is being aware of small children’s heightened sensibility to endocrine disrupters or teenagers’ excessive use of personal care products leading to allergies.
