Danish farmers should have amble opportunities to choose more environmental friendly pesticides for control of e.g. pests and weeds. The Danish Ministry of the Environment has, therefore, launched, a new call for applications for grants to companies that whish to apply for authorization of pesticides that are more environmentally friendly that the pesticides currently on the market. This could be pesticides based on e.g. plant extracts or micro organisms.
In 2012 the Ministry has allocated DKK 2 mill. mainly targeted at small and medium enterprises that may apply for grants that may reimburse that up to 80% of their project costs, while large companies may apply for 60% reimbursement.
Deadline for receipt of grant applications is 22 October 2012.
