Employees of the Danish EPA

We number approximately 450 committed workers with widely diverging backgrounds, training and skills.

We employ people from many professions: chemical engineers, pharmacists, web technicians, lawyers, economists, secretaries and communication specialists. Not only does this ensure that tasks are appropriately allocated, it also makes for an exciting working environment. The management team consists of the Directors, Heads of Division and Heads of Function.

Our work in the Environmental Protection Agency covers many topics within the fields of the environment and health: chemicals, pesticides, gene technology, soil, waste and environmental technology. The range of tasks is broad, from regulations for chemicals in hair colourants, through investigations into how more waste can be recycled and authorisations for new pesticides to the handling of fruit and vegetables. Enterprise permits and monitoring of companies are also part of our work.

We are part of the Danish Ministry of the Environment – with several thousand colleagues employed in various agencies and boards which are also part of the Ministry.
